This is such a coincidence...maybe? I purchased mine from Big Lots today (10-30-02) as well and am having the same problem. Maybe it's Big Lots with a bad lot??? I'm searching the net in hopes of finding help. If anyone knows how to turn off the sound, please let me know! thanks!
