I had purchased the machine for my niece, to get her started in sewing. The machine has NEVER worked correctly. When the power button is turned on, it immediately begins to sew and won't stop until it is turned off. The same is true when the power is from the batteries as well. The store will NOT return the machine and I have been told that more people try to return the machine at this particular store then they have sold. Apparently none of these machines work. I've tried all "helpful hints" in regards to this machine to no avail. I have given up on this product. If you are thinking of purchasing this machine, DON'T. Not even the company backs up this product. And lastly, the coupon for the free spools of thread was absent, like in most of the packages (my source is this very website).
