Almagro stuns nalbandian in acapulco

In the late afternoon, when it wasn't clear whether the man would take his life or not, the officer pulled over, according to police.

"The suspect pulled over after a black Dodge Ram truck drove off," said Chief Brian McManus at an afternoon news conference at the agency's headquarters.

"The driver, an African-American, exited his vehicle and fired three shots at a Nalbandian officer who was on the roof of the Dodge truck," he said.

"The suspect then got out of the truck, walked in the alley behind the Nalbandian Officer and fired a round at him that ricocheted off his knee and passed through his abdomen," added Chief McManus.

Authorities identified the suspect as 18-year-old Jose Antonio "El-Guerra" de Almagro. Authorities also announced he had been in custody since May 25.

Authorities are continuing to investigate whether or not Almagro was involved in other attacks against the agency.

Authorities are looking for a suspect's family members, including neighbors in nearby Los Gatos, who they say were notified by authorities that the suspect was missing.

"We had no idea that this individual was actually in El Monte or in La Palma," said Officer Steve Almagro. "Our officers go out to try and make the city a safer place for all of us in all walks of life. As you can imagine, that hasn't been an easy task."

A search has turned up no evidence of foul play.

Margaret river coal mine is located south-east of Stirling, British Columbia.

The mine, which produces mostly coal briquettes, is closed at present, but operators hope to reopen in 2018 with a new facility.

A spokesman for the mine said it could employ 250 people, which would increase to 700 if coal used on the newly renovated site were also used in the new facility.

He added it would only have one per cent capacity in 2014, as more people and equipment could be used for the project.

The mine produces about 80 per cent of the world's emissions.

It produces up to 400,000 tons of coal each year for export to Canada and the U.S. It operates at temperatures between 469-492 Celsius.

Environment Canada's report released in April said if the mine's future production was reduced, the total carbon emissions from the project would rise.

The province has put a price on carbon and is looking at creating an Ontario price in the event the project is unable to make more money or become economically viable.

As well as the coal, the federal government has said it is considering increasing greenhouse gas emission permits for electricity plants to make up for the fact the province's emissions are too low compared to the rest of Canada's.

The proposed increase in CO 2 emissions could come to a halt if climate change is worse and if the country is already too far in the path of climate change, experts have said.

It's the first time in four decades, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, that a new mine in Canada has been closed due to climate change.

Greenpeace Canada is calling on provincial politicians and residents to be consulted on the project's impact on the local climate.

In addition to carbon emissions, the mine also has to cope with mercury, a poison that affects humans, fish and other creatures.
