I learned my lesson the hard way, too. Got this monitor and my BP read 190/98! My normal reading is 175/20. Tried in numerous configurations and positions, and same thing kept happening. I bought mine from a company called nextpowerusa, and they won't give a credit or refund--only an exchange.
